Student Intern Spotlight: Leah Jones

Hi! My name is Leah Jones, and I’m a senior at Bell Creek Academy with a strong passion for law and for helping others. Next year, I plan to attend Stetson University, where I hope to earn my bachelor’s degree in political science as I continue pursuing my dream of becoming a corporate lawyer. As an intern, my goal is to explore different areas of the legal field and discover what truly sparks my interest—and so far, I’ve been loving everything I’m learning here at ACEMaven Legal.

Being the first person in my family to attend college is incredibly meaningful to me. It motivates me to work hard, stay focused, and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way. I’ve always found joy in helping people and making others smile, whether that’s through caring for children, supporting my younger siblings as the oldest, or simply being someone others can count on. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy reading, doing crafts, and finding creative ways to express myself.

One of the things that makes my experience at ACEMaven Legal so special is the firm’s commitment to investing in students from local schools—especially Bell Creek Academy. By welcoming interns into a real working legal environment, ACEMaven gives young people like me the chance to build essential soft skills that can’t be learned from a textbook alone. From professional communication and organization to client interaction, time management, and attention to detail, we are trusted with meaningful tasks that help us grow in both confidence and capability.

More than that, ACEMaven fosters a space where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to explore their future. The team takes time to explain not just what they are doing, but why they are doing it, helping us connect classroom learning to real-world application. This mentorship plays a huge role in shaping our goals and showing us what a career in the legal field can truly look like.

Programs like this don’t just benefit the interns—they strengthen the entire community by preparing the next generation of professionals. I’m so grateful to be part of a firm that believes in developing the youth in our area, creating opportunities for first-generation college students like me, and proving that with the right guidance and support, our goals are absolutely within reach.

I’m excited to continue growing, learning, and sharing my journey here through this blog, and I’m thankful to ACEMaven Legal for being such an important part of that story.
